AHD played his last concert "ever" — according to his band's website — two weeks ago, at a place called Schockoladen in Berlin. The news section of www.hermandune.com says, plainly, "Andre will not contribute any further promotion for Giant [the new HD record, which came out in France in October, and will in America sometime after February]/ Nor will he tour with us for the album/ We want him to do whatever he chose to/ So be it." I know the guy is entitled to his reasons — and I'm sure they're fine ones — but this shit still makes me pretty sad. I found this video in the comments field of Angelo Spencer's MySpace profile earlier tonight and have been watching it over and over. It is so pretty I can't believe it. Who else (besides — thank God — his own, equally-brilliant brother) is writing songs like this?
